Unloading Images
An image is unloaded automatically every time you load or
import a new image into Jim.
However, you may find it necessary to explicitly
unload an image if, for example, you want to display a movie,
while at the same time displaying a static image. If you receive a
message saying that a new image cannot be loaded because
Jim is out of memory, then unload an image from other
display frames that have loaded images.
To unload an image, select Unload ...
from the File
menu: .
If the image has
unsaved ROIs,
or has been edited,
you will be asked whether you wish to save any changes, in the usual way.
Reloading Images
You may wish to reload an image if it has been processed using an one of
Jim's tools, or another external tool so that the image on disk has
been changed. If you use one of the usual
methods to load an image, and it is already displayed, then the image will
not be reloaded.
To explictly reload an image which is already displayed, select Reload
from the File
menu: .
