Re-Installation of Jim Version 6.0
If you need to re-install Jim Version 6.0 you can download and run
the installers below. You will need to make that you have the correct version of java installed
(1.8.0). When installing Java from the
Oracle web site, be sure to install the java development kit (JDK), not
the runtime environment (JRE).
You will also need to install Java 3D. Please dwonload from here:
Java 3D download.
Version 1.5.1 (or later) of Java 3D is required.
- PC's running Microsoft Windows. Download and run
jim-windows-x32-installer-6.0.exe
(for 32-bit Windows), or
jim-windows-x64-installer-6.0.exe
(for 64-bit Windows).
- PC's running Linux. Make sure that java version 1.8.0 is in your path,
then download and run
jim-linux-x32-installer-6.0
(for 32-bit Linux), or
jim-linux-x64-installer-6.0
(for 64-bit Linux).
- On Apple Mac computers running OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and later, download
jim-macosx-installer-6.0.tar.gz Double-click on this file.
When downloaded, click on
jim-macosx-installer-6.0.tar.gz
in your downloaded items,
and a new icon will be created on your Desktop.
Double click on this icon, which will run the installer.
- On all other platforms (including Oracle Solaris) download the file
jim-cross-platform-installer-6.0.jar
and save to your Desktop.
Make sure that java version 1.8.0 is in your path and then issue the commands:
cd ~/Desktop
java -jar jim-cross-platform-installer-6.0.jar
