Re-Installation of Jim Version 3.0

If you need to re-install Jim Version 3.0 you can download and run the installers below. You will need to make that you have the correct version of java installed (1.4.2) - this version is needed by Jim 3.0.

• PC's running Microsoft Windows. Download and run jinstall.exe.
• PC's running Linux. Make sure that java version 1.4.2 is in your path, then download and run jinstall.bin.
• On Apple Mac computers running OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and later, you should use the Pure Java installer - download install.jar and save to your Desktop. Then open a terminal and invoke the installer by using the commands:
  cd ~/Desktop
java -jar install.jar
  Be sure that the java version you are using is version 1.4.2 or later. You can find out which java version you are using by typing the command: java -version.
  You may need to give the full path to the command to invoke the correct version if you have multiple java versions installed.
• Sun workstations running Solaris 8 or later (SPARC processor). Make sure that java version 1.4.2 is in your path, then download and run jinstall.bin. For Intel processors, use the procedure as detailed for Apple Mac computers above.
